What is a CSH?

CSH:  A primary healthcare delivery system in which its community members and physician share the common values necessary to promote prevention, quality health and well-being.

What does a CSH solve? 

·         Under the current insurance system, Primary Care physicians are encouraged to rush through as many office visits per day as possible, while physicians who take the time to address all of their patients concerns are not rewarded.  CSH practices provide for same day service and longer office visits which allow for more time to counsel and guide patients with a focus on prevention instead of focusing on illness.

·         The way a CSH practice is structured, it eliminates the onerous paperwork requirements from insurers that obstruct patient care, that create a chaotic work pace, and that cause unreasonable time pressures.

·         Members in the CSH value a more personal relationship between them and their physician which in turn increases satisfaction for both the physician and the patient.
